For over 30 years, I dedicated myself to the world of health and fitness. Helping people live healthier, stronger lives was incredibly fulfilling — but I always carried a deep love for animals in my heart.
That love led me to volunteer at local animal shelters, where I saw firsthand the overwhelming challenges rescues face. So many dogs, so few resources — and too many animals spending their days isolated, afraid, and overlooked.
I knew I had to do more.
Guided by my heart, I made a life-changing decision: I sold my fitness center and shifted my focus entirely to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need. That passion became One Dog at a Time — a place where abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs are given a true chance to heal.
At One Dog at a Time, our dogs are never just housed — they are cared for, trained, and loved. We focus on individualized care, human connection, and emotional recovery, because we believe every dog deserves more than just survival — they deserve a life worth living.
